Whether you are searching a university directory or an online phone book, a quick name search will produce the fastest results. If the directory contains a broad list of information, you will need to specify your location or the location of the person for whom you are searching.

By Business

You may have already discovered that you can look up business addresses and phone numbers by doing a quick internet search. It’s the same principle with directories. Simply type a specific business into a directory website like Canada 411, and then search within the specified area.

Reverse Lookup

This option is usually available in online phone book or address directories. Perhaps a strange number showed up on your caller ID and you want to check it out before returning the call. Type in the number and area code into the reverse lookup and retrieve the information. It’s that simple.
